This photo was sent by Arthur Dicks. It is a photo of Celia Lydia Kirkham with her dog Shep. He used to help her get the cows rounded up so that she could milk them. Bah remembers him fondly. This photo was taken on her farm before 1933.
When I saw this photo I knew it looked it familiar. I called my aunt to see if she had this photo. Nope. Then by an odd fluke I looked at my mom's old album and sure enough - that's where I saw this photo. The caption on her photo reads "Aunt Celia". Rosella is the person who sent her family research to my mom and I "inherited" it due to my interest in genealogy. I am looking into the DAR. Have you proven lineage from Michael Kirkham or Moses Dooley? To try to eliminate the possibility of spam from leaving my e mail address I am writing my email this way: thethomasfamilyATwi.rr.com Hopefully, you know to put a @ instead of AT. Judy
Actually, I was thinking that the album I was looking at was most likely my grandmother's - so "Aunt Celia" I think was my g'ma's aunt - not my mom. My g'ma was Frances Vickery (Charles' wife). What is your connection to the Kirkham's?
Trying to connect all the dots and find who we came from. I just love doing this! Wanting to share with others in the Fam who are just as interested!! I Have been researching since 2006 and I don't see a stopping point anytime soon! I just keep finding cousins I didn't know I had!
